Wantage & Grove Food Bank

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Christmas Hamper food items appeal this year. At the time of writing the hampers have not been made up, but we know they will be hugely appreciated by those who receive them. So thank you for bringing some joy to individuals and families who are in need at this time.

Thank you too for all the 'regular' food items that have been donated throughout the year. There are many individuals and families who would have gone hungry without the food parcels they receive. They are quite often embarrassed at the need to ask for help, but they are always reassured that they are deserving of the gift of food.

We will continue to put out a list of required items. Sometimes there is enough stock in the small room that houses all the food items. Currently there really is no room at all for more baked beans and tuna!

Holy Habits at WantageAs part of our 2020 celebrations here at Wantage Methodist Church we are looking to launch 'Holy Habits' next year. Holy Habits is an adventure in Christian discipleship based upon Luke's picture of the early church in Acts 2:42-47.
