Food Bank

wantageandgrovefoodbanklogofoodbank

As a church we support the work of the Wantage and Grove Food Bank.

The Wantage and Grove Foodbank is a practical, community based project, organised by local churches, which provides food parcels to those in our immediate area who find themselves temporarily in difficult circumstances.

The food bank is dependent upon donations of food and is staffed by church volunteers.

Your food donations can be left in church, or be dropped off at: The independant Advice Centre, The Kings Book Shop (Wantage) & Cornerstone Coffee Shop (Grove) or your local church.

All food needs to be tins or packets (NO fresh items) with a reasonable shelf life (3-6months if possible).

The Food Bank are currently collecting the following food items: tinned meat, tinned fish, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, tinned or packet puddings, pasta sauce, rice, cereal, jam, coffee, tea & hot chocolate(made with water).

A mobile phone will be manned to take calls for food parcel requests in the Wantage, Grove and surrounding villages

The new number is 07543 852939

The email address is wantageandgrovefoodbank@gmail.com and can also be used to contact us.

Please speak to Helen Carter who is our church link, for further details.
