Knitted blanket
Image: 2021-04-26 Diana blanket 2

The knitters and chatters continue to knit and some of us manage to chat on zoom. The knitted flower garlands which decorated the side gate and front railings outside our Chapel have been taken down. The Chapel looks a bit bare without them, but the garlands have found a good home and were taken to Framlands Care Home. The group have various projects on the go. Some are knitting for grandchildren. Diana has knitted some lovely colourful blankets which are going to be posted off to Knit for Peace. The green blankets, knitted for the Christmas Tree Festival (it now seems such a long time ago) will be posted too. Some of the Knit and Chat group are going to embark on a new project of knitting bottle green jumpers for Future Pillars, Zambia. This charity gave a talk at Wednesday Fellowship a few years ago and we have some local trustees living in Abingdon. If anyone else in the church would like to knit a jumper, please contact June Grunwald who has the pattern and bottle green wool.
