Wantage Methodists in 2020
We are starting to plan to celebrate our 175th anniversary in 2020 and the 200th anniversary of Methodism in our area.
This will be a celebration of the past but also a refreshment of our Mission for today.
A few ideas for that year were identified at the recent meeting of Movers & Shakers:-
+ Special preacher each month
+ Specific mission for the year
+ Series of events to raise money for the year's chosen charity
+ Hymns through the decades
+ Stage musical (as done in the past)
+ Memories of people in the church
I am sure that you will have more. As you can see, there is plenty of scope for more ideas, practical thinking and committed contributions.
If you are interested in getting involved please talk to Keith, or one of the stewards.
